It’s 12:26 am, Friday and I am only now posting this.. oops. 😅 Oh well.. Let’s not dwell on minor details and get on with this post shall we?
Book Traveling Thursday is a weekly meme created by Danielle @ Danielle’s Book Blog and Catia @ The Girl Who Read Too Much. This weekly meme consists in picking a book related to the theme that is announced in the Goodreads group. In your blog post you will include an explanation on why you’ve chosen that particular book then you will put pictures of the original cover, the cover from your country, your favorite cover, and your least favorite cover.
This weeks theme is a book you want to read this Summer and I chose Outlander by Diana Gabaldon. I’ve been wanting to read this book so badly cause so many people are raving about it AND I watched the 1st season of the tv show and really LOVED it (SAM HEUGHAN 😍)! Hopefully I can read it this summer.
Original Cover/ Cover from my country (Philippines)
Original/English Edition ✈️ 20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition ✈️ Portuguese Edition
The color of the original version is actually my favorite color that’s why I like it so much. I also wanna have that collector’s edition but I have never seen it here in the Philippines which is a bummer. 😔 I really liked how the Portuguese cover looks like a sketch, all simple and elegant.
Least Favorite Cover
Finish Edition ✈️ Italian Edition
I just don’t understand why they have to put faces on covers. And it looks like there’s 2 different people for the one portraying Claire.
Outlander (Outlander #1)
The year is 1945. Claire Randall, a former combat nurse, is just back from the war and reunited with her husband on a second honeymoon when she walks through a standing stone in one of the ancient circles that dot the British Isles. Suddenly she is a Sassenach—an “outlander”—in a Scotland torn by war and raiding border clans in the year of Our Lord…1743.
Hurled back in time by forces she cannot understand, Claire is catapulted into the intrigues of lairds and spies that may threaten her life, and shatter her heart. For here James Fraser, a gallant young Scots warrior, shows her a love so absolute that Claire becomes a woman torn between fidelity and desire—and between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives.
That is it for today’s Book Travelling Thursday (not really Thursday but.. let’s just pretend it is). What would be your read for this Summer? Leave it at the comments down below. I would love know. Talk to you on my next post! 💙
